This week, our 3YN children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring pumpkins! They had lots of fun hammering pegs into the pumpkins, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration. The children also loved exploring the insides of the pumpkins through sensory play, using their hands to feel the squishy, slimy textures, smelling the pumpkins and discovering the seeds and pulp hidden inside. This hands-on experience encouraged the children to use their senses, explore different textures and scents, and develop their curiosity as they investigated the pumpkins. It has been wonderful to enjoy lots of autumn fun recently in 3YN.
