Reception’s Space Adventure with Whatever Next

We have had such a fun and exciting week in Reception, full of fantastic learning and creativity!

In maths, we have been exploring patterns using cubes, creating our own repeating patterns and thinking carefully about which colours and shapes come next.

In literacy, we have continued our learning around our story Whatever Next. The children have done a fantastic job of retelling the story using our story map and have enjoyed getting creative by changing the characters to make up their own versions of the story.

Outdoors, we have been busy using the crates to build all sorts of wonderful creations, including houses, cars and castles! It has been lovely to see the children working together, sharing ideas and using their imaginations to bring their creations to life.

In our creative activities, we have been exploring junk modelling to make our very own telescopes, ready for more space adventures! The children have loved choosing their materials and thinking carefully about how to design and create their models.

We have absolutely loved learning about Whatever Next and seeing the children’s imaginations grow as they explore Baby Bear’s exciting adventure to the moon. We are so proud of all their wonderful learning and creativity!
