In English, the children have been practising their handwriting and applying their growing skills to a variety of writing tasks. They have worked hard to improve the presentation of their work. In Phonics, the children have shown great determination in developing their fluency and expression when reading. We are very proud of the effort they have put into becoming more confident and expressive readers. In Art, the children learned how to carefully sketch an eye, paying close attention to shape, detail and shading techniques. This work will support them as they begin creating their own self-portraits, and we have been impressed by their focus and creativity. Next week they are looking forward to writing their letters from Morocco, inspired by the story Meerkat Mail.
