It has been another wonderful week in Reception! We have been busy immersing ourselves in our class story, Whatever Next!, and the children have loved using our small world tray to retell the story. They have been so excited to join Baby Bear on his adventure to the moon!
In Maths, we have been exploring sorting using our magic bag. The children have enjoyed choosing objects from the bag and sorting them into the correct sorting hoop. They particularly loved sorting classroom items by colour and were fantastic at explaining how they knew which group each object belonged to.
In the outdoors, we have had lots of fun with sensory play, including making our very own cloud dough! The children loved exploring its texture and using their imaginations during their play.
In Phonics, we have learnt the sounds c, k, u, b and f. It would be fantastic if you could continue practising these sounds at home with your child to help reinforce their learning.
