This week the children have started to write an innovated warning story using their Year 2 trip to Flamborough as a stimulus for their writing. They have thought carefully about how to give hints to the reader in order to create a feeling of suspense. We have taken advantage of the hot weather and had some of our reading sessions outside in the woodland gazebo. The children really enjoyed learning outside, and we all welcomed the cool shade! Our Design Technology project continues to evolve, and this week the children have worked on the background of their cloth book page, using a paste resist technique to create the detail. Look out for a PING with details of the open classroom sewing sessions coming up soon. We would really welcome support from our families during the sewing phase of our project.
