3YN children have been making fantastic progress with their phonics and are becoming confident at recognising lots of different sounds. This is amazing and we are so proud of their enthusiasm for learning. They have also been practising forming letters and have particularly enjoyed writing them in the sand this week. This fun activity has helped the children develop their letter formation skills in a different way. The children have been using special phrases to help them remember how to write certain letters, such as “around the apple and down the leaf” for the letter ‘a’. It has been lovely to see their confidence and enjoyment grow as they continue their phonics journey.
