This week Year 4 had a wonderful time on the field for Roman Day. They enjoyed marching in lines with shields, creating testudo formations and practicing throwing spears! Roman Day ended with a battle between the Romans and the Celts. The Romans were victorious because they kept their formation and could advance safely to Celtic grounds. Pupils have enjoyed learning about Boudica. This brave warrior led the Iceni tribe to Colchester where she sought revenge on the Roman army. Next week, pupils are looking forward to transition week and meeting their new teachers.
