As part of our new topic, Journeys, 3YN children have been enjoying reading Duck in the Truck. They have become familiar with the story and have loved retelling it in our small world area using the different animal characters and vehicles from the book. The children have also enjoyed acting out the events of the story using the puppets in the reading area, taking on the roles of Duck and his friends as they worked together to help move the truck. These activities have helped to develop their language, imagination and storytelling skills while exploring the theme of journeys through play.
