This week in Literacy, the children have been writing a finding tale about a lost body part of the Iron Man which they found in the Egyptian desert. The children have enjoyed using their topic learning in their writing and have produced some really engaging work. In Maths, we have been focusing on strategies for subtraction. The children have used partitioning to take away the tens and the ones from a number separately. Our Book Art about Ancient Egypt contiues to develop. This week we have added a beautiful golden death mask to the front cover and inside, the story of Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
