This week in Maths, Year 3 have been learning different strategies for adding. We have practised using our number bonds to help with mental addition and also used a ‘round and adjust’ strategy too. The children have started learning their 8 times table. Practicing at home on TTRS daily for 10 minutes will really help to embed this skill quickly. We have continued to develop our Book Art about Ancient Egypt. The children loved learning about how the Ancient Egyptians used hieroglyphs to write and even wrote their own name in hieroglyphs. We all agreed it is much easier to write using our alphabet!
