The children have been excited to begin our new topic, Growing and Changing. They have especially loved getting hands-on with soil in the tuff tray, where they explored its texture and learned how plants begin to grow. With great enthusiasm, the children used a variety of gardening tools to carefully fill their plant pots and plant their own little flowers. It has been wonderful to see their pride as they eagerly showed off their plants to their friends. We also started reading our new story ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’ which the children have really enjoyed and we will be focusing on this story this half term.
