Year 1 have started to make their savannah sunset pieces of art this week. We have learnt that by mixing the primary colours red, blue and yellow together in different ways they make new colours. We have also discovered by that adding more of one colour it can alter the shade to lighter or darker. We used these techniques to create the sunset back drop for our artwork. In literacy we have been writing a story based on Handa’s Surprise by using our own ideas for the characters and fruit. We have been telling the time using ‘half past’ the hour in maths.
