As part of our tree topic, this week Year 1 visited the woodlands to adopt their class tree. We had lots of fun searching for leaves and sorting them to match and name different trees. We also found out about evergreen and deciduous trees and why they are different. In literacy we have started our non-fiction writing about owls following on from our visit from the owl expert last week. In maths, we have been continuing to add and subtract within 10 and explore the different number facts using cubes and a part part whole to help us.
