What a fantastic first week back we’ve had in Reception! On our very first day, we were thrilled to welcome a visit from the farm. The children were full of excitement as they met the animals and learned all about them from Farmer Ian. They especially loved having the opportunity to gently stroke and brush the animals.
This wonderful experience has inspired our literacy learning, where we have begun exploring the poem Animal Hullabaloo. The children have been learning to name different farm animals and describe their features.
In Maths, we have continued to build on our understanding of numbers, focusing on using this knowledge to add two numbers together.
We are all looking forward to continuing our learning about farm animals, as well as exploring our focus story for this half term, The Little Red Hen.
