Ancient Egypt art in Year 3 – wow!

This week Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed retelling a Pie-Corbett finding tale using an exciting drama technique called a Whoosh! The children loved using actions and engaging in character role play to explore character emotions and understand the story sequence. In literacy, pupils drew images to show an understanding of what was happening in the story and unpicked words used by the author to create a desired effect. Year 3 are presenting their Ancient Egypt learning using creative book art skills. This week, they have learnt about Tutankhamun’s tomb and his death mask. Next week pupils are looking forward to writing an innovated finding tale.
