In Reception this week, children have been immersed in our provision while developing their team-building and turn-taking skills. We have enjoyed playing board games, dominoes, and noughts and crosses. It has been lovely to see the children’s excitement as they play and work with their peers cooperatively.
In Maths, we have continued to deepen our knowledge of numbers by exploring numbers to 20 and looking at 1 more and 1 less.
In Literacy, we have been writing super sentences. Last week, we created our story map, and this week we used it to help us write sentences. We have been blown away by how well children are able to write these sentences independently.
In our outdoor provision, we have been using chunky chalk to transfer our writing skills outdoors by writing big sentences.
