The children had a wonderful time in the woodland with Mr Mawson this week. They used their knowledge from Topic lessons to first of all create wood houses which were built in 1666. They then watched Mr Mawson start a fire in one of the houses to show how the fire spread so quickly with the wind that was blowing. In English, the children have written some fantastic plans using their suspense and setting description ideas that the classes have collected ready to write their own Tales of Fear. Next week the children are looking forward to starting Science and investigating what materials burn well.
