This week Year 3 pupils have learnt to retell a non-fiction explanation text about the role of an optometrist. They have unpicked the class wagoll to find toolkit features that they will be able to use when writing their own explanation texts. This week in Science, Hornbeam Class visited the woodlands to learn about shadows and light. They enjoyed creating shadow puppets and retelling the story of Icarus. Year 3 have also been developing a range of skills in PE and practicing playing several games this week to help them compete in next week’s Sports Day. They are looking forward to their parents attending next week’s Sports Day!
