Year 3 have had a fantastic week staring their Ancient Egypt topic. In Literacy, the children have been writing poems about discovering mummies in ancient tombs. They used alliteration to add rhythm to their writing. In Maths, we have started a unit about angles and the children have made their own angle measurers to investigate angles in different 2D shapes and in the environment. A highlight of the week was starting our Ancient Egypt Book Art poster. The children used water colour paint to create the background for their project with very pleasing results. We cannot wait to invite families in to see our finished work at the end of this half term.
