In Year 4 this week, the children have started to plan and write out their story of a disaster scene from the Railway Children. Pupils loved watching the clip from the Railway Children Film as inspiration for their writing and it prompted some brilliant discussion around descriptive vocabulary. A big highlight of the week was the Year 4 GLEE workshop. It was amazing to see so many parents and careers turn up to find out more about swimming next half term. It was also a great opportunity to visit their child’s class to find out about times tables and how they are taught in Year 4 so families can continue to practice them at home with their children. Next week, pupils are looking forward to learning more about the Victorians and what life was like for children.
