Pupils have made a fabulous start to Year 5. In small teams, we have made mini vinegar and bicarbonate erupting volcanoes in the woodland to launch our Natural Disasters topic work. We have also made mini 3D elephant models with a blanket that shares our hopes and aims both in Year 5 and further in the future. These elephants link to our class reading novel, which we have started, called the Firework Makers Daughter. We achieved so much in just our first day which is a great sign for all the learning ahead!
