The sun has been shining, and we have had another fantastic week in Reception! We have continued exploring our Growth topic and introduced our new story, The Enormous Turnip. We are wondering… will we manage to grow an enormous turnip ourselves this half term?
In maths, we have been extending our learning by exploring numbers up to 15. The children have been superstars! We took our learning outdoors, using large Numicon pieces and wooden numbers to practice sequencing, comparing and writing numbers in a fun and active way.
In literacy, we created our own story maps and worked hard on sequencing the characters from the story, as well as writing their names.
Outdoors, we enjoyed a lovely time taking part in a sun dance and transporting water in the water tray, developing both our teamwork and coordination skills.
