In 2YN this week we enjoyed celebrating Pancake Day. We got creative and made our own pretend pancakes as well as real ones too! The children enjoyed choosing and adding a variety of toppings to make funny pancake faces. We explored what pancakes are and talked about some of the ingredients that go into making them. They enjoyed helping to pour and mix, watching carefully as the ingredients were stirred together. The best part was tasting the real pancakes and enjoying their delicious toppings. It was a lovely week full of hands-on learning, creativity, and lots of happy smiles!
