From Egyptian Pyramids to Woodland Fossils: An Exciting Week for Year 3

Year 3 have had a fantastic week starting our new topic on Rivers and Settlements. The children have been fascinated by learning about the pyramids in Egypt and had great fun making their own pyramids using a square-based pyramid net. It was quite tricky to ‘build’ our own pyramids, but teamwork and resilience helped us to be successful. Each class also had a fantastic session in the woodland this week where they made their own fossil (linking back to our Rocks and Soils topic from Spring 1)  and toasted some delicious hot cross buns on the fire. What a great start to Spring 2!
