Year 3 have been writing instructions this week about how to care for different Stone Age animals. They have explored using imperative verbs and time adverbials to make their instructions clear and direct. The children have loved learning more about the Neolithic period of the Stone Age. Everyone was fascinated to explore Skara Brae (a Stone Age settlement from the Neolithic times) on the Orkney Islands through the wonder of technology. The children showed great understanding about how we have learnt about how people lived over 5000 years ago through the discoveries made by archaeologists.
