It has been another busy and exciting week in Reception. We have been focusing on teamwork in the block area, where the children have worked together brilliantly to build houses, bridges, and caves.
In Literacy, we continued our work on writing labels for the settings from We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. It has been wonderful to see the children’s confidence grow as they use word banks to support their labeling.
In Maths, we have been strengthening our understanding of number, with a particular focus on the numbers 4 and 5. The children are now much more confident in recognising and writing these numbers.
During playdough time, the children carefully used dough and stones to create their own versions of the cave from our story. Their creativity and attention to detail have been lovely to see.
