Year 6 have really enjoyed starting their new topic all about World War 1. Pupils have been introduced to the story of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the event which sparked the beginning of the war. Year 6 have re-enacted the events through drama and are planning to write informative newspaper reports. Year 6 have also completed more practice SATs papers to help teachers plan lessons in grammar and reading; pupils have shown such commitment and resilience. Year 6 have also completed their lighthouses by adding a circuit to light them. Next week, Year 6 will learn about remembrance day on the 11th of November, pupils will use origami skills to make their own poppies.
