The children in Year 2 enjoyed creating their final self-portraits using the techniques they had practiced with sketching pencils and oil pastels. They had lots of fun testing whether materials could float and which were strong and waterproof to find the best material for a ship’s hull. Year 2 have been interested to find out about Morocco and Cape Sheridan and have started to collect ideas ready to use in their letters in English. Next week they are looking forward to their second Science experiment, this time testing which is the best material for the sail of a ship.
