This week, Year 3 have enjoyed using place value counters in maths to explore adding and subtracting one, ten and a hundred to three-digit numbers. Hazel and Hawthorn classes really enjoyed their DT days using their peeling and cutting skills to prepare a crumble of their own design. We hope they enjoyed sharing them with their families. In order to prepare for our invention writing next week, we spent time in the woodland using our imaginations to describe woodland features as spooky things. The children discovered a ‘ghost’ which was an old bed sheet, a ‘troll’ which was an old tyre and a ‘dragon’ which was some logs covered with a sleeping bag. We cannot wait to read their stories next week!
