Year 1 were excited about spending time in the woodlands for our community day. We worked together to collect lots of different natural materials to create our class names. We have also enjoyed inviting our parents into school to find out about phonics in Year 1. They got to watch a sounds lesson and listen to us read our reading books. We have been learning about doubling and halving numbers in Mathematics using a part-part whole model to help us.
