What an amazing week for Year 6! We visited the seaside town of Whitby; pupils explored the ancient historic Whiby Abbey, walked down the 199 steps into the town, took a boat ride into the sea, visited the spooky Dracula Experience, enjoyed souvenir shopping and ice-creams and even had time to splash in the sea and dig sandcastles on the beach! It really was a magical experience which pupils will never forget! Our trip will inspire our persuasive writing next week and start our water colour painting unit inspired by a Whitby artist.
