Year 2 have had a great week learning about the explorer, Sir Francis Drake, who discovered new places including California. The children have worked hard in English to learn our portal story – Mr Benn and the Red Knight. They are trying hard to practice their letter formation and apply this in their work across the curriculum. The children are looking forward to learning about another explorer next week, Matthew Henson, and finding out where he explored.
