Year 3 have had a fantastic start to the half term. They have used drama techniques to role play parts of the new story they are learning, to help recall the events in the story and character feelings. This week pupils have begun creating their own page design from the Icarus story and practising skills such as applique using a running stitch. Next week they are looking forward to developing their sewing skills by learning how to stitch a feather onto material. Ultimately, pupils will be producing a cloth book page from the story of Icarus, suitable for younger readers. We are also excited to take part in dhol playing lessons as part of our Eid celebrations on Monday!
