Year 1 have had a super start to this half term. We have written lovely Summer acrostic poems thinking about ’ing’ endings to verbs and the prepositions ‘in’ and ‘on’. We have also starting thinking about materials and the materials used to build houses. We have drawn houses using rulers to ensure the walls were straight and therefore strong. Next week we start our story about the Big Bad Pig and the Three Wolves, linking to what they have made their houses from. We also look forward to showing everyone how great we are at phonics during our phonics screen.
