Year 2 children were thrilled this week as they started their DT module, in which we are preparing to sew hand puppets. They excitedly explored various hand puppets and picked out the features. In English, they have completed their overcoming-a-monster tale plan, to which they added various interesting details, ready for their independent writing next week. Finally, they have been working hard on their weekly spellings and recapping various spelling strategies that help them learn the words in a fun way at home. Next week, we are looking forward to learning how to thread a needle and learn a sewing style called overstitch.
