Year 3 have had a fantastic week, celebrating Eid at school and learning more about a different country as part of our One Trust Culture Day. Pupils have thought carefully about their own identity; their likes/dislikes/appearance and groups they belong to. Furthermore, in Maths, pupils have learnt how to recognise equivalent fractions and add and subtract fractions with the same denominator. In English, pupils have worked hard to write sentences using conjunctions to persuade the Pharaoh to let the people go! Next term, they are looking forward to taking part in the school Spelling Bee and learning about Ancient Egypt – especially mummification!
