Shirley Watson Appointed to CEO Role
We are delighted to let you know that we have appointed Shirley Watson to the post of Beckfoot Trust CEO, a successor to David Horn who will retire later this year. Shirley is presently Executive Director at Dixons Trust and previous to that Headteacher at Dixons City Academy in Bradford.
A message from David Horn
I have known Shirley for many years, both as a partner Bradford Headteacher and more recently through our work with the excellent Dixons Trust. She is a wonderful colleague. A genuine educationalist committed to our city. A proper leader. She leads by example. She is ambitious for every child, puts staff first, is outward looking, caring and inclusive. She is thrilled to have secured this post.
I love what this Trust and all the schools within it represent. I am immensely proud of all we have achieved in the last seven years and determined to see our great movement continue to grow. I am delighted that the Trust has appointed someone who shares our cultural values and has vision .
We very much look forward to welcoming Shirley to the Trust.
