Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

About Us

British Values

 > Democracy;

 > The rule of law;

 > Individual liberty;

 > Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.

We teach children that if they are a “great learner” and a “great person” then they have the best chance of having a “great life”.  Our values are woven into all we do, from the welcome on the gate, the joyous assemblies and the enthralling curriculum we create – in and out of school.

Learning how to be a “great person” comes from individual conversations, day to day school life and whole school events. All of these develop children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding including their understanding of individual liberty, democracy, rule of law and mutual respect.

Our staff team are skilled in personal development and help both children and families overcome challenges so that all children do as well as they can. Sometimes these tricky conversations are just what’s needed – and are well received. Come and talk to us if you need help.

Larger scale events such as 800 children, parents and staff coming together to physically spell “We Choose Kindness” in Antibullying week 2018 concluded an odd socks week to emphasise how important it is for us all to celebrate individuality and difference.

Families, here and abroad, loved watching our celebration of One Britain One Nation on GEO TV. Miss Mir and Mrs Wilde did a great job after they masterminded a whole school song and dance to “This is Me”. Watch the news clip here.

Children play an active role in the development of our school.  Surveys are completed annually and are acted up.  For example, the school council, elected after a full democratic process have refined the school’s behaviour policy to make the expectations out of the classroom clear and understandable to all children.
